Candiac – History, outdoors and location!
Candiac and the people of Candiac owe their name to the domain of Candiac, in France, in Languedoc, near the city of Nîmes, birthplace of the famous French soldier Louis-Joseph, marquis de Montcalm, lord of Saint-Véran (1712-1759 ), died on the field of honor while trying to save Quebec. (1)

At this time, talented street artists come to the market to show their captivating performances. As autumn approaches, the harvest is celebrated here with a traditional agricultural fair. With animal stands, agricultural demonstrations and culinary competitions, there is nothing missing for entertainment! In winter, the beautiful suburb turns into a magical landscape. The Ice Festival is held here. When spring arrives, Candiac hosts an outdoor music festival with many local artists and food counters.
